The Process

Updated: May 25, 2019

The greatest accomplishment, the greatest achievement, the greatest success, is not in the title before your name nor in the letters following; it’s not in the attainment of a spouse nor in the children resulting; it’s not in whatever popularity, fame or wealth you acquire; the greatest victory you can ever experience is in surviving the process! Don’t you know God is more concerned about how you handle your process than how you look in your promise?

It’s taken me a minute to get this but the more I read scripture and the more I live life, I’m realizing that the attainment, the accomplishment, the achievement is but for a moment; it is the moment in which it begins, the moment in which you become, the moment in which you attain – and we celebrate those moments for they are truly beautiful, but it’s the process that can last a lifetime.

You’ve heard this before but I think it’s worth saying again, don’t despise your process in desperate pursuit of your promise because in doing so you might just obtain your goals, you might just attain your wildest dreams and realize one day that you’ve allowed your entire life to pass you by. Yes, keep striving, and yes keep praying for the goals God has placed in your heart but while you’re waiting remember, God has you where He has you for a divine purpose that’s so far beyond you. Although it might feel painful, although it might taste bitter, there is space for joy, there is space for delight if you would only open your eyes to the reality of God’s presence in the process with you.

So here’s the word God impressed upon me to share with you today: referring to the great commission, “…I’ll be with you as you do this, day after day after day, right up to the end of the age” (MSG). You’re not alone in your process... Can you see Him? Can you hear Him? Can you feel Him? I promise you... He's there!
